Meet Dr. Rodriguez

Dr. Rodriguez is a proud husband and father living in the Austin area with his wife, Maritza, and son, Ethan. Both Dr. Rodriguez and his wife proudly serve our community in education.

 

Dr. Rodriguez will complete his 17th year as an educator. He has taught all contents in grades 4-6, and specialized in Mathematics for grades 4-8. He considers himself honored to be in his current position where he can positively impact student success as an instructional coach. His PhD. is in Education, with a specialization in educational technology and design. His research study was conducted for the purposes of exploring the decision-making process of K-5 teachers regarding implementation of educational technology for student use.

He is passionate about student achievement and success, and believes that best practices with technology, when appropriate, is a powerful model that can help our students demonstrate their understanding in a way that is more relevant and applicable than before. Technology is a tool that can create an authentic audience which increases student engagement and creativity. Dr. Rodriguez believes that we can overcome traditional barriers to learning and help bridge the gap in equity of learning for all students.

Dr. Rodriguez's specialties are working with other professionals in the capacity of data analysis, formative assessment, student engagement, devices for education (for teachers and students), and Google Apps for education (for administrators, teachers, and students).
